How this estimate is calculated
The calculator adds the selected cutting allowance to the measured floor area, divides by the exact coverage of one carton, and rounds up because flooring is bought in whole boxes.
Boxes = (measured floor area × (1 + waste %)) ÷ coverage per box, rounded up
Ten percent suits many straight installations. Diagonal layouts, complex rooms, and products with strict pattern matching may need a larger allowance; follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
