Privacy policy

Last updated: July 2026. BuildingMath ("we", "us") is operated by JD Projects, a Danish sole proprietorship. This policy explains what data is and is not collected when you use buildingmath.com. If you have questions, contact us at contact@buildingmath.com.

Your calculator inputs stay in your browser. The calculators run entirely on your device using client-side JavaScript. The measurements and numbers you enter are used only to display your result and are not transmitted to us or stored on any server.

Cookies and similar technologies. BuildingMath itself does not require cookies to function. However, third-party services we use (described below) may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.

Advertising. We may display advertising on this site through third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense. These networks may use cookies and device identifiers to serve and measure ads, and in some cases to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's Privacy & Terms (policies.google.com/technologies/ads). Where required, you will be asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set, and you can opt out of personalised ads via Google's Ads Settings or aboutads.info.

Affiliate links. Some outbound links to retailers (for example, links to materials related to a calculator) may be affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate networks may use cookies to attribute a purchase to our site. Using these links is entirely optional.

Analytics. We may use privacy-conscious analytics to understand which calculators are used and how the site performs. Any analytics data is used in aggregate to improve the site and is not used to personally identify you.

Your rights. If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, data protection law (including the GDPR) gives you rights over personal data relating to you, including the right to access, correct, or erase it, and to object to certain processing. Because BuildingMath collects no account information and no directly identifying data itself, most data associated with your visit is handled by the third-party services above under their own privacy policies. To exercise any right or ask a question, email contact@buildingmath.com.

Children. This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes. We may update this policy as the site evolves — for example, when a new third-party service is added. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date at the top.
